Welcome to our
website!
We are committed
to the Bible, God's perfect and believable Word, as the final authority in
faith and life. Scripture is our standard as well as our joy. In the preaching
and teaching ministries we are brought before God Himself and asked to view Him
rightly and live in light of it. We view the faithful preaching (and hearing)
of His Word as essential to growth in the Christian life. While other churches
(many that use the name Presbyterian) question the Bible's authority or look to
another source of truth for guidance or downplay the ministry of the word, we
remain deliberately committed to expository preaching and teaching of the word.
As a church, and
myself personally, we want three things to clearly be communicated in our
church. Since we are here to glorify God and enjoy Him forever and since
it is God’s Word that gives us direction on how to do that, we believe we best
glorify God when we Behold Him, Pursue Godliness and Proclaim Christ.
·
To
Behold God: This means that I should be so in love with who God is that
I will be like David in Psalm 27:4…“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I
will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my
life, and gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.”
We should love to learn about who God is and be excited to see His character
revealed. We should stand in awe at His majesty and want to see Him more
and more. Jesus Christ should be the object of our devotion and
thoughts.
·
To
Pursue Godliness: If we see God in all of his glory and beauty and His Son
Jesus Christ as offered in the Gospel, then we are going to live
differently. Paul talks about this in 1 Timothy 4:7…“train yourself for godliness.” This means that we should strive
and grow in a loving and joyful service to our God and King. We are to be
a living sacrifice and honor him with our thoughts, actions, emotions, and
life.
·
To
Proclaim Christ: If we are captivated by the beauty of God and we
live to see Him honored in our life, then it is just
going to be natural we want others to know about this. We are going to
witness and make disciples like Jesus talked about in Matthew 28:16-20.
We can’t keep silent about Jesus Christ. Our life looks different because
our heart is in love with God and therefore our witness before the world will
be obvious…we will be known by our love for one another.

You
are invited to join us as we grow in our understanding the great majesty of God
and how to live daily in light of His glory and Word.
If you are new
in the community and looking for a church home, come visit us this Sunday. Our
Worship Services provide you with an opportunity to come and hear God's Word
and sing praises unto His name. Our various Bible studies are in-depth and rich
in fellowship. The culture of our church is reflective of society; there
are young children sitting right next to those who are young in heart both
worshiping the one true Savior, Jesus Christ.
Also, visit Our Beliefs page and see our view of God,
Scripture, and man's responsibility is conservative and biblical. You
will notice that we are governed by Scripture and strive to live God honoring
lives before others. The tab on Our Beliefs page called “Creeds?” is a good introduction on how we
use and view the Westminster Standards, Apostles' Creed and Nicene Creed.
Please do not
hesitate to email
me if you have a question about us or you are just wondering about
spiritual things and how you can be right with God. You might find it refreshing
to know that there is such a thing as truth, and it comes from a Holy and
Merciful God. I know life is not easy; between work, school, families, money,
health and everything else…it can be hard. I firmly believe that even
with the difficulties we face if we sit and behold the beauty of God, praise
Him, live after Him in godliness and righteousness and to tell others about
Jesus Christ, the problems of this world become less important and worry
disappears.
The God of
Scripture is majestic and beautiful, full of mercy and loving kindness, He is
holy and just, and His love is seen in the glorious person and work of Jesus
Christ. Come join us as we endeavor to Behold
God and Pursue Godliness and Proclaim Christ!
