The Joy of Honoring God in Worship

Sunday School - 9:30am to 10:20am
Visit our Sunday School page for more information.

Sunday Morning Worship - 10:45am to Noon
This is our time to gather together as God's family in worship, prayer and the ministry of God's Word.  The first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Lord's Supper.  We focus on honoring God and pleasing Him.  Jesus told us in part, that our worship is to be done in Spirit and in truth.  Our heart must be involved with worship, it must be genuine, and it must be real.  But, our worship must also be according to truth.  We believe our worship promotes not only the experience of coming before God but also the true knowlege of Who we are coming before and what pleases Him.

If you are interested, we make these available for your children during the Sunday Morning Worship.
  1. Toddler/Kinder Church: 2 years old through kindergarten
  2. Junior Church: For grades 1 st -4 th,  meet after the hymn before the start of the sermon during the Sunday Morning Worship.
Sunday Evening Service - 6pm to 7pm
This is a more relaxed time of worship.  Your whole family is still invited and depending on the evening we might spend the service talking about missionaries, hearing from a guest speaker or being encouraged by testimonies from a recent youth mission trip.  Generally though, the service will involve a more detailed preaching or teaching of God's Word, in a less formal setting.

Wednesday Night - 7pm to 8:15pm

During the middle of the week sometimes it is helpful to know there is a place where you can go to enjoy Christian fellowship as well as good teaching.  Wednesday nights serve that purpose for us and our children.  The adults meet for an in-depth Bible study and a season of prayer (sometimes using a teaching DVD series) while the youth and children meet for their activities and studies.  During the Summer months the children's program does not meet.  Check the calendar for updates and what is being taught.

Nursery
Infant through 2 year old nursery is available for Sunday School , Sunday Morning Worship and the Sunday Evening Service.  During the Summer months  the  nursery volunteers have  Sunday Evenings off, but your infants are invited to stay in the Evening Service.

Crying Room
There is a crying room adjacent to the sanctuary that may be used for feeding or calming the needs of your children during the service.

Our Scripture & Catechism Memory Program

What is the Defenders of The Faith Program?

The Defenders of Faith is a church-wide memorization program to help the members and friends of Grace Bible Presbyterian Church hide the Word of God and the truths of Scripture in their hearts. Everyone from children to adults can memorize the same Scripture verses and catechism questions each month and repeat them together whenever we gather for worship and/or teaching.

Our goal is not just to memorize, but to understand and apply the truths of God that we commit to memory.  Doing this together as a church family allows us to help one another with this important task.

[Please read "Why Creeds are Useful?" to understand why we also memorize the Westminster Shorter Catechism]

Welcome to Grace

 A Welcome Letter From Pastor Tim

Welcome to our website!  I am thankful that you have taken the time to visit us and have some interest in what the Lord is doing at Grace BPC.  The Lord has demonstrated His mercy and grace to us through the past 40 years we have served in the greater Sharonville area.  In the past 40 years of ministry and service the Lord has seen fit to bless us in many ways but the greatest witness of His love for us is seen in the resolve of the leadership and expectation in her members to bring all of life to the feet of Jesus Christ in humble submission to His Word.

We are committed to the Bible, God's perfect and believable Word, as the final authority in faith and life.  Scripture is our standard as well as our joy.  In the preaching and teaching ministries we are brought before God Himself and asked to view Him rightly and live in light of it.  We view the faithful preaching (and hearing) of His word as essential to growth in the Christian life. While other churches (many that use the name Presbyterian) question the Bible's authority or look to another source of truth for guidance or downplay the ministry of the word, we remain deliberately committed to expository preaching and teaching of the word.

As a church, and myself personally, since God guides and directs us by His Word, it is vital that we look to Him on how the church should minister, serve and live.  Ultimately we are here to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.  This is realized in how we structure our church life and what we strive to impress upon God's people as our reasonable service.

First, it is our desire and prayer to see people put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.  Secondly, we understand that the Christian must continue to 'grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.'   We accomplish these two things by:

  • Evangelism and missions (getting the word out that God saves sinners through the Person and Work of Jesus Christ);
  • Enfolding believers into the life and ministry of our congregation;
  • Equipping them with sound teaching, Biblical sermons, meaningful worship, thoughtful prayer, and loving service; and
  • Entrusting God's people with opportunities to use their gifts and abilities to further God's work here and abroad.

You are invited to join us as we grow in our understanding the great majesty of God and how to live daily in light of His glory and Word.

If you are new in the community and looking for a church home, come visit us this Sunday.  Our Worship Services provide you with an opportunity to come and hear God's Word and sing praises unto His name.  Our various Bible studies address real questions about real life and provide real answers from Scripture.

While there are many churches that use the name "Presbyterian" not all Presbyterians are the same.   Please visit Our Beliefs page and see our view of God, Scripture, and man's responbility.  You will notice that we are governed by Scripture and strive to live God honoring lives before others.  Also, make sure you check out "Why are Creeds and Confessions Helpful If We Have the Bible?"  This will help explain how we use the Westminster Standards, Apostles' Creed and Nicene Creed.

Please do not hesitate to email me if you have a question about us or you are just wondering about spiritual things and how you can be right with God.  You might find it refreshing to know that there is such a thing as truth, and it comes from a Holy and Merciful God.

The God of Scripture is majestic and beautiful, full of mercy and loving kindness, He is holy and just, and His love is seen in the glorious person and work of Jesus Christ.  Come join us as we endeavor to  Behold God and Pursue Godliness.
